A two-piece formal set built entirely on the tension between two colours that should compete but instead create something close to perfect. The top is a fully embroidered gold organza peplum — dense, intricate floral and vine threadwork covering every inch of fabric in fine zardozi, sequin, and crystal embellishment. No gap left unfilled, no detail left unfinished. The scalloped peplum hem adds structure and drama to the silhouette — fitted through the body, flaring out at the hip in a clean, deliberate shape. Sheer organza sleeves with matching embroidered cuffs complete a top that could anchor any occasion on its own.

Then comes the skirt.

Deep burgundy — almost wine, almost maroon, the kind of colour that looks different under every light. A full floor-length gathered skirt in soft georgette scattered with individual silver sequin booti throughout — subtle enough to let the gold top lead, present enough to ensure the skirt is never an afterthought. The combination of the two pieces creates a look that is simultaneously formal and editorial — dressed for an event but styled like a shoot.
